Names bombarded by school children
What hurt sticks and pins can inflict upon us does not compare to the scars they placed on our souls
A silent toxin
Seeping into us
Slowly killing the person inside
And no one sees
How are we not viewed as tragedies?
Do we not break and fall apart?
Cuts and suicides go unnoticed by the vile monsters who used their silver tongues to trap us within ourselves
Our mind is the cage
And we are both the prison guard and the martyr
Unable to protect ourselves from the dogs
As they eat our flesh from our bones.
